Activity Information & Permission Slips

Everything you need before the trailer rolls: activity details, permission slips, and packing wisdom.

The Pre-Trip Checklist

βœ… Paperwork

Signed permission slip for the activity, current BSA Health & Medical Form (Parts A & B) on file, and a Medication Form if your Scout takes any medication during the trip.

πŸŽ’ Gear

Personal camping gear per the patrol packing list, water bottle, closed-toe shoes, and weather-appropriate layers. The Quartermaster handles troop gear β€” patrol boxes, stoves, and tents ride in the trailer.

πŸš— Logistics

We depart Friday evening from First Presbyterian Church of Kingwood and return Sunday. Drivers: please have a current Vehicle Information form on file. Directions live on the Maps page.

🍴 Patrol Food

Patrols plan their own menus and collect food money at the meeting before each campout β€” see the Menu & Duty Roster planning tools. Grubmasters, this is your moment.

πŸ“‹ Files for the next campout post here

Activity information packets and permission slips for upcoming events are added to this page as each activity is finalized by the PLC. If you don't see the packet you need yet, check with your Patrol Leader at Monday's meeting β€” or email scoutmaster@troop839.com.

Parents & guests

Parents are always welcome on campouts β€” many trips include an adult patrol. Talk to the Scoutmaster at any Monday meeting, and make sure your Adult Application and health form are current.
