Eagle Project Info & Documents

The paperwork side of the summit — presentations, contacts, and documents for the Life-to-Eagle journey.

Life to Eagle, Step by Step

Step 1

Attend the Life-to-Eagle Briefing

Start with the Life to Eagle presentation above, then meet with the troop's Life-to-Eagle coordinator to map your personal timeline. Know your 18th birthday — the trail has a hard deadline.

Step 2

Choose & Propose Your Project

Find a project that benefits a school, religious institution, or your community. Write the proposal in the official Eagle Scout Service Project Workbook and get it approved by the beneficiary, Scoutmaster, committee, and district — before any work begins.

Step 3

Lead the Work

You plan it, you lead it — the troop shows up to swing hammers. Follow the Guide to Safe Scouting on every workday, track hours and materials, and photograph everything.

Step 4

Finish Badges & Paperwork

Complete all 21 merit badges, close out the workbook, gather references, and write your statement of ambitions and life purpose. Use the Key Contacts document when questions come up.
